White, Grey, Red and Black.

We all make choices every day without giving much thought to them. Some of these choices may be the type we mull over for days on an end and some of them we make without giving much thought to, but every single choice we take shapes our lives for us. They define who we are and who we shall be. Of all the countless options available to us, we pick one and go down that road.

“Most of us will choose the easier choice over the right choice.”

In fact, not to long ago, those were pretty, empty words that I believe I stood by, believed I used as a lifeline. Admitting that, even if it is only to myself is proving to be more difficult that I thought. It is so much easier to convince myself that I’m doing the right thing.

Doing the right thing..
What does that even mean?

If choices were easy to make – as easy as the movies have taught us they can be – will we ever be capable of making the right choice?

Why must I choose to begin with?
Why should it be a choice between Black and White or Grey and Grey?
Why must I choose the black that glitters?

If I have to choose between Black and White; I pick Grey.
If I have to choose between Grey and Grey ; I pick Red.
If I have to pick the black that glitters then I shall shoot them both dead.

What I want to know is that if I did that, would it be making the easy choice or the right one?

” People seldom do what they believe in. They do what is convenient, then repent ”  – Bob Dylan

I’m so glad you’re writing again! I missed this so much!

And, you know what my favorite test is? When you can’t decide, always do what seems to be the most difficult. Most often, the hardest thing and the right thing are the same..
Except for making life slightly difficult, I think it works..
